Here's my review.

Good:

- Way over-delivered with 83 links instead of 50.
- Many places had multiple links.
- Good communication, nice guy.

Bad:
- Some of the links are on the same domain.
- Most of them are on foreign edu domains.

Is it worth it? Yes, I definitely think it is.

Some of the pages have a lot of OBL but I honestly don't worry about it. According to Matt Cutts Google used to care about that but doesn't really anymore:

Some of the links will be placed on pages with PR, and most will be on sites with high domain PR.

The links should stick pretty well, however if you find that any drop off just let me know and I'll be glad to replace them

These are blog comments...profile links are good too, however they have NO PR or history so I feel that blog comments have an edge.

As far as amount of URLs and Keywords, I don't have a limit, that's really up to you, but you certainly don't want to spread things too thin.

And lastly...I have run tests on the backlinks and they run about 50% dofollow, but as you know Google often will crawl them anyway, especially from EDU.

It's a mix of both, however EDU backlinks still pass on a lot of authority regardless of nofollow and according to Matt Cutts of Google they don't pay much attention to the "nofollow" attribute.

I DON'T ping the sites. I COULD do it, but I have found that it is best to let G find the links by itself. Otherwise you just get a big influx of backlinks all the sudden. That's not nearly as effective as having G pick them up 1 by 1.
