Hi Warriors,

I've recently returned to web development freelancing again and looking for opportunities to work with warriors. As you'll see if you look below, I've had lots of positive feedback on jobs done for warriors in the past.

I last offered my services to warriors in 2009, prior to moving interstate and commencing permanent employment.

I am proficient with technologies including XHTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL and can assist with:-

Wordpress installations and set ups.
Installing and troubleshooting scripts.
Troubleshooting site problems.
Improving page markup to improve SEO goals.
Cleaning up HTML and fixing browser compatibility problems.
PHP / MySQL development.
Other stuff too, so please ask if it's not here and you need it!

Fixing problems/errors with Wordpress.

Several things to keep in mind:-

I am not a graphic designer so please don't expect/ask me to do design work.
I am located in Australia and in my experience the time difference often makes it difficult to handle urgent jobs. If you want something done in several hours then I'm probably not your man.
I work alone so are better suited to smaller jobs.

My hourly rate for Warrior Forum work is $30 which is half my usual rate.

Hi Warriors,

If you need any help at all that Jonathan can do then I highly recommend you ask Jonathan first.

I've actually used Jonathan quite a few times now and he's been incredibly reliable and helpful and resourceful and gets the job done at a price that is more than fair.

I had one site in particular that was really slow to load due to the amount of images that had to be on the site and after jonathan's work it loads with the click of a finger.

Even if you're not sure if Jonathan can do the work for him, ASK.

You just never know.....he's probably just forgotten to put that one on the list.

Once again, I highly recommend him to all Warriors. If you're not sure shoot him through a PM and I'm sure he'll get back to you promptly.

Jonathan did some great work for me when my site was being ignored by Google. He cleaned up the crappy code that FrontPage created and got my site loading much faster and cleaner.

Now, I can't say for sure that his efforts did the trick, but within a few weeks of his working on my site, I regained a few Google page ranks that I'd lost due to errors on my site.

Working with Jonathan was a pleasure. He was quick to respond and although the work wasn't instant, he kept in contact. He let me know right up front how long he thought it would take due to his other commitments. He might be on the other side of the planet, but Jonathan always responded within about 12-15 hours. I always felt confident he would be there when I needed him.

He is a true professional who is committed to his work and his clients.

I highly recommend him for this type of work.

I would need to have my existing site layout in a wordpress theme, I have tried to convert it but I can´t do it unfortunately. I think if I knew how to do it it wouldn´t take more than one hour.

So I have a website in HTML/CSS and to add content regularly I need wordpress (which is already installed) in the same design.

I want to take a moment of your time to talk about fellow Warrior Jonathan Clayman and his service.

Most of us have taken chances on freelancers and perhaps regretted it. I needed help after three years of preparing for a launch that is today a WSO. I am a writer. When I started this odyssey, I knew nothing about websites and less about anything even remotely connected with programming. I couldn’t even make a PayPal link work properly or even use the PayPal sandbox for testing.

Most of the past three years has been spent learning new things, from Photoshop to website design, to typography, marketing and psychology and even a little about video editing. You folks know how it goes in the beginning; so much to learn you go around in dizzy circles for a while getting nowhere.

A heart attack and commonsense led me to start looking for a team of reliable people and I have been fortunate to find some excellent people through this forum. I only wish I had made more use of it early on. I thought I could not afford help; now I realize I cannot afford to do without it.

One of my lucky finds has been Jonathan Clayman who will be a permanent fixture with me for as long as he is available.

I came to Jonathan when a friend told me she had trouble downloading a free ebook. I needed to make sure all links and everything else to do with the launch worked absolutely without headaches and Jonathan accepted the challenge even though it meant learning something he had never encountered before: the Amazon S3 service.

You see, I had discovered that the 23 DVDs that were part of my package would take something like nine days to download! (I've now wised up and decided they have to be physical DVDs.) I knew I was totally out of my depth from just a glance at what passed for the S3 instructions. Jonathan subsequently spent about a week studying, testing and tweaking. And not once did he complain it was too much; he just got on and did the job.

Not only that, but he contributed ideas and suggestions that have improved both customer service and security along with saving me from another heart attack.

I can only guess at the total number of hours he has put in without complaint or upping his modest quote. He just gets on with the tasks at hand…and puts up with me!

He is a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with him for a long time to come.

At the risk of making him too busy for me, I have to tell you if you need programming you don’t need to look further than Jonathan. I don’t know the full extent of his abilities or what his background is, but I’m sure he will tell you honestly whether or not he can do what you want done.

Just don’t jerk him around; he’s one of the good guys.

I have to resolve issues around Google analytics. I have three domains for one of my businesses so I can customize adwords keyword campaigns into specific groups. I want to understand if I should make them sub-domains so my SEO juice all goes to the same domain or keep them seperate, track seperate (and SEO seperate, expensive way to go it seems).

Hmmm, I am not sure how to respond to this query

Producing your own pages is not for everyone and it depends on your inclination, i.e. would you like to do this and are you technically minded?

Although I am capable and do produce presentable pages, I am not a designer by background so have no training or inclination about what is "good and bad".

My focus is more on underlying code and techniques used.

There is a lot of people on this forum providing templates and design services etc. which might be a better avenue for you.

Most of us have taken chances on freelancers and perhaps regretted it. I needed help after three years of preparing for a launch that is today a WSO. I am a writer. When I started this odyssey, I knew nothing about websites and less about anything even remotely connected with programming. I couldn’t even make a PayPal link work properly or even use the PayPal sandbox for testing. Most of the past three years has been spent learning new things, from Photoshop to website design, to typography, marketing and psychology and even a little about video editing. You folks know how it goes in the beginning; so much to learn you go around in dizzy circles for a while getting nowhere. A heart attack and commonsense led me to start looking for a team of reliable people and I have been fortunate to find some excellent people through this forum. I only wish I had made more use of it early on. I thought I could not afford help; now I realize I cannot afford to do without it. One of my lucky finds has been Jonathan Clayman who will be a permanent fixture with me for as long as he is available. I came to Jonathan when a friend told me she had trouble downloading a free ebook. I needed to make sure all links and everything else to do with the launch worked absolutely without headaches and Jonathan accepted the challenge even though it meant learning something he had never encountered before: the Amazon S3 service. You see, I had discovered that the 23 DVDs that were part of my package would take something like nine days to download! (I've now wised up and decided they have to be physical DVDs.) I knew I was totally out of my depth from just a glance at what passed for the S3 instructions. Jonathan subsequently spent about a week studying, testing and tweaking. And not once did he complain it was too much; he just got on and did the job. Not only that, but he contributed ideas and suggestions that have improved both customer service and security along with saving me from another heart attack. I can only guess at the total number of hours he has put in without complaint or upping his modest quote. He just gets on with the tasks at hand…and puts up with me! He is a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with him for a long time to come. At the risk of making him too busy for me, I have to tell you if you need programming you don’t need to look further than Jonathan. I don’t know the full extent of his abilities or what his background is, but I’m sure he will tell you honestly whether or not he can do what you want done. Just don’t jerk him around; he’s one of the good guys. Sydney
