Sorry for the confusion on this. While we try our best to maintain the best up-time possible, we can't be held legally liable should a legal case be made against us for loss of business due to an issue. Sometimes issues happen & we tend to them as best we can. We rarely have any sort of issue that affects multiple accounts, but there is a chance something could happen. With all of our paid accounts, we do run daily backups should there be a hardware failure situation or if you need to restore files/databases. We do offer a 30 day money back guarantee, where in the first 30 days if you're legitimately unhappy with our service, we'll issue a full refund. This does not apply if the site/application itself is causing a problem. For example a Wordpress site with 25 plugins that runs slow because of those plugins - we'll investigate, but in most cases one of those plugins is the culprit. We also have no problem assisting in tracking down these issues to make it easier for you, or any other customer to have fixed. When downtime does occur, it does not always affect every customer so we resolve said issues as far as credits directly with each customer based on the downtime reported area affected, our monitoring tools & the amount of time of inaccessibility. I do realize that our current terms are a bit confusing & we will be outlining & going into more depth with our new website release which is scheduled for the 1st quarter of 2013. As we're a small company, our goal is to work with you to provide a solution & to rectify any problems within our means that is fair for both us and you as a customer. Hopefully that clears some confusion up & feel free to let me know if you have any further questions. ![]() Thanks, Brent

| Hi there, Currently we only offer support via our support desk. However, phone support is in the works hopefully for the 2nd-3rd quarter of 2013. Our goal is to "not" outsource any of our support and we currently don't have the overhead for in-house "phone" support. As I mentioned, this is in the works for the 2nd-3rd quarter of 2013. I am accessible at all times via our support desk & direct email at brent@liquilayer.com / support@liquilayer.com or our support techs through our support desk. Thanks, Brent |

Hi Brent, Just to let you know where I'm at for your own benefit...this is a major sticking point for me because I spent plenty of time on the phone with my old host a few years ago when I had my first acct and was a total newbie. I couldn't imagine trying to get the same support via text/e-mail. My IM career was very short lived then but now I'm getting back into it but am still very new. I appreciate the guarantee but I don't really want to put the time into this and then have to transfer to a new host if it doesn't work out. |

I completely understand where you're coming from and cannot fault you for that. Like I mentioned, phone support is certainly in the works, but we simply don't have the overhead for it at this time. I'm sure you can understand budgetary & staffing concerns. At this time, our would be phone support is reinvested into providing quality environments & reliable services. On the other hand, phone support is of no use if we provide "sub-par" performance & reliability. We do have a number of video tutorial series & have no problem assisting via as many tickets as you need. Thanks, Brent

Brent, I totally understand the overhead involved in support and would like to give you a shot. If it didn't work out and I decided to switch hosts, how difficult and how much time do you think be involved to move everything? I probably won't have more than maybe 5 reasonably simple wordpress sites by the time I figure out it its going to be a good fit.

Thanks for you understanding. Typically sites do not take very long to move. If they are small sites with just a few gb of data, the sites themselves can be moved very quickly. The turn around time depends on our transfer queue which can sometimes take 24-48 hours to move all sites & verify they are working correctly. Splitting addon domains into a reseller account with individual cPanel accounts can sometimes take a bit longer. The larger the amount of data will ultimately extend the restore time. If you need me to go into more detail, please let me know and I can explain the transfer process in more detail. Thanks, Brent

Ok, what I'm most concerned with is the time I will have to personally spend messing with it to get it all moved not so much how many days it takes on your end to get everything moved. Also, (here's a newbie question for you) I see these site builders offered by most of the major hosting companies. I would like to find a situation where I can get a site up really quickly like one of these auto-build software products, then go back and customize it and add seo plugins etc. Is this something you offer? Hopefully that makes sense. Maybe thats what templates are for. |

Once the 2nd invoice is due, this will be adjusted. We will cancel the subscription (if you have one) and regenerate a new invoice with the 50% off discount. There's no way to do a .01 discount + a 50% discount at the same time so it needs to be done manually. You can feel free to cancel your subscription at any time or we can do it from out end. Usually we do this every 48 hours when a batch of .01 cent plans are released. As for the sites, Softaculous enables you to install sites such as Wordpress with just a few clicks. If you plan to build multiple sites, this is what I'd recommend vs the other site builders. Thanks, Brent

Brent, Thank you so much for this discount. I also appreciate the fact you didn't run me through 25 upsales to get my reseller account. As a marketer who has (and still do) owned several shared, reseller, and dedicated servers, I expect a lot from my host. Although still very new into this transaction, I would like to report my findings so far. First off .. they use Pay Pal. This makes things so much easier each quarter. All I need to do is click print and take the paper to my CPA. For me that was a big deal. The coupon code worked exactly as it should. Their system is so fast it appeared the invoice wasn't paid but in a matter of minutes I did receive an invoice paid email. The WHM and c-panel is very clean and user friendly. I have used WHM before so I may have a slight advantage here but in less than 5 minutes I had created my first package, set up my first account, redirected name servers, and had a site up and ready to configure. I am very pleased. As accounts from several other host are coming to contract soon, if everything goes as smooth as my initial experience here has .. they will not be as pleased because I see everything I have going to LiquiLayer. I will update as things progress but if you are sitting on the fence here .. click the buy button ... I am sure the 50% off can't last much longer and you will be kicking yourself paying full price .. even though it will still be well worth it. Troy Phillips |

I almost paid for a reseller account but I want to make what is happening with my current host doesn't happen here. I am with HostTheName through a WSO they ran. They been good at handling issues which I never had when I was with Hostgator. Right now all might site are marked as SPAM by Google and any message from contact forms on my and clients website goes to spam folder. I feel the reason is because of all the warriors who are internet marketers who I share servers with doing spam. Have you taken this into account? What are your policies about clients doing spam blasts? Should I get a dedicated server for this not to happen again? |

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Sometimes this can happen with shared hosting. We do have strict mail sending limits for sending mass emails. If you plan to send lots of emails, we definitely recommend using a 3rd party service such as Mandrill. (they have a free tier). As for abusers on our systems, there's absolutely not tolerance for spammers. If you're looking for isolation - a dedicated server may be a bit much. For this solution, I'd recommend a managed VPS, which you could always upgrade to from a reseller account. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks, Brent

| Hi there, Yes, this plan is eligible for the free SSL with the purchase of a dedicated IP. On our website the CR-15 & CR-20 plans "include both" however, with this discount WSO the IP is not included due to the 50% discount. You'd simply need to add an IP to the account, and then we can issue your SSL certificate. Thanks, Brent |

What are your policies regarding email? No limits? The only mention in your Terms of Service appears to be regarding spam. The 50MB file size limit bothers me. If I were running a membership site with a download area, that could force using AWS or another service in addition to your hosting service. |

Our email polices "per domain" are 100 per hour. If this cap is hit, the mail will be queued until the next hour change. If you send 105 at 10:30AM, the additional 5 will send at 11:00AM. For those sending lots of mail, we definitely recommend using a service such as Mandrill, which they have a free tier for up to 12,000 emails per month. They have an easy to implement SMTP option as well as an API that works great with applications capable of SMTP. As for the file size, we have this limit to both protect against abusers using our servers for file storage only. The problem with having large files for download on traditional hosting is the bandwidth/CPU costs as well as increases the backup storage needed. This is mainly only enforced for those who choose to store mass amounts of large files. We're not as strict on this unless it starts causing problems, which in that case we'll work with you to figure out a solution. On the other hand, we are exploring options to add cheap storage solutions in addition to our current shared, reseller & VPS offerings in the near future. You will however, in most cases experience faster download times when hosting large files off site somewhere such as AWS. We have many customers who use our hosting with downloads & use AWS to host their files. Let me know if you have any other questions, I'd be happy to address them. Thanks, Brent

All coupons are still available for use. We've chosen to not close the WSO. As far as the number of accounts goes, we generally run our servers at roughly 60% capacity. This leaves quite a bit of room for both growth & usage spikes. Some servers with low utilization sites may have higher numbers vs the more resource demanding sites & applications. I don't have an exact number for you however since spanned over many servers that can range from just a few sites to a few hundred sites. Hardware specs: Intel Xeon E3-1270 processors Minimum 24GB of RAM RAID 10 Storage Arrays We run our infrastructure a little bit different from most web hosts. Most web hosts will put accounts directly on the server. We however, split the number of websites spanned over multiple virtual servers. We've found this is better in performance comparisons, portability & reliability vs everything on bare metal. This also allows for quick migration from one server to another if an account needs to be moved. All of our shared/reseller servers are backed up remotely to a backup node. Each shared/reseller virtual server features CloudFlare, LiteSpeed, StoreGrid, cPanel/WHM, Incapsula & all of the other features listed on our site. If you have any further questions, please feel free to let me know. ![]() Thanks, Brent
