Hi WF web designers!

You guys have always saved me big time. I am very thankful for your input and advice all these years.

I have a really easy question. So after a new WordPress site is built, my client wants access to the site to make their own changes, add and change stuff and put new images etc. I don't feel comfortable with giving them a new admin user role. They are not tech savvy at all, there was a lot of custom theme work done on the site - I don't want them to mess it up.

Whats the best thing to do? Install a plugin, I heard there are a few plugins out there. I did do a good search, and there is a custom way to add user roles. But I don't feel comfortable doing doing editing in the main code of the site.

Please let me know any help and assistance. When I first got them as a client, there were very adamat about have access of their website. I did tell them they will have accesss to their site.

Thanks again,

Zach

Members plugin by Justin Tadlock is one of the better user role plugins you could use.
It's dependable and Justin's coding is exceptional.

Ditto what David said, I was going to say that. Members by Justin Tadlock is my absolute favorite plugin, hands down.

      Hey guys,

First off thank you so much for your valuable feedback.
Before I go downloading a plugin, are there any other ideas? or Plugin suggestions?

Does the hosting company, like HostGator backup the site?

      Thanks

You Can use "Wp-user role editor plugin" for wordpress user role purpose. With this you can create a customized users.( Ie: allowing/disallowing themes access, plugins, page edition etc.)

Yes, HostGator backup takes backup of hosted websites. You can also add scheduled backup via hostgator C-Panel
