How to create a content access page in Wordpress?

Hey All,

Does anyone know a way to set up the download/content access page in wordpress?

I'm using leadpages and dealguardian as the payment processor but I need to enter the url of the download page that would be emailed to a customer after their purchase - I'm a bit stumped.

Btw, it's not for a WSO.

Any help, appreciated.

I do my download pages as HTML pages. What you need to do is make sure that no-one can find them without paying, so you need to block any access to those pages (just Google how to do it, it's not difficult). You only link to the download page from the PayPal (or whatever you are using) sales-button setup, and it shouldn't be linked-to from the rest of your content at all, so easier to just make a very simple HTML page (you could do it in Komposer, a free HTML editor that's very easy to use), with a link to the product (zipped), and put both the download page and the product in a folder separate from your WordPress installation (just make a new folder in cPanel) and do NOT call it "download" or "product" or anything like that, give it an innocent or random name, so BlackHat web-crawlers have less chance of guessing that there's something of interest there (although your settings in cPanel should block anyone from getting to that folder unless they come there direct from PayPal).

There's other threads in this forum on all the technical details of how to do this, so maybe do a Google search for relevant key-phrases for only WarriorForum domain.

    Hope that helps

    Chris

Hey there, your payment processor should give you the opportunity to insert the url of the page you want people to go to after they have paid. Check this out with them.
