Problem with site view with www and without www

WEB DESIGN

When I open my site without including www it open nicely without any change. When I open site with www it opens with white space in border and site view also change.

For www.wapism.com site open like http://www.wapism.com/index.html
That is with HTML extension .In this view site looks worse.

For Direct wapism.com site open like http://wapism.com/index.xhtml
In this view site is OK.

Please tell me how to solve this problem.Is that a CSS problem. How to open site in XHTML formats even if the site open with www.

In some browser like chrome, and uc browser it opens fine.

But browser like opera mini or uc mini it opens worse even with XHTML extension.

What is the problem. Please help me understand or solve this . I want to open site every time in same view.

I am waiting for reply. Please please help me .

You need to create or update your 301 redirects for www.wapism.com to point to the correct URL.

I thought this is the problem with CSS or XHTML code.

its on free hosting which do not provide those facilities.
only XHTML and CSS is supported.

what is actually 301 redirect ?

You actually have a 302 temporary redirect, so currently

wapism.com does a redirect to wapism.com/index.xhtml

www.wapism.com does a redirect to www.wapism.com/index.html

This may well be a setting of your web server (which I'm assuming you can't change).

If you have no control of either your domain name or web server, then try putting a meta refresh in your webpage, i.e.: in index.html, add

I don't have control over 301 but I have control over my domain its from godaddy.Can it be done from there.

From memory, godaddy allows you to redirect a domain (although it might well be an addon extra that they charge for).

If you have Google Webmasters Tools account, you can set your preferred domain. These are the steps to follow:

1. Login to your GWT account.
2. Click on the site (or add it if you haven't already)
3. Click on the gear icon on the top right and then click on site settings.
4. Under site settings, select your preferred domain ( www . yourdomain.com OR yourdomain.com)
