Dear all, I have been struggling for more that a week to find a membership plugin (wordpress) that can:

1. Enable my subscribers to sign up for 5 minutes free trial.
2. After the 5 minutes trial is over, users must get redirected to a subscription page where they will have 2 options:
- Pay subscription
- Invite 5 friends to get 1 week free membership
3. Mailchimp must be integrated

I did find lots of membership plugins, but non of them can do it. Any suggestions?

Thank you all!

You may need to buy a members script then either pay someone to custom build your options or try to build them yourself. Good luck.

This is not a cheap solution , but I would suggest contacting sales at digital access pass and see if they can adjust the period code from days to minutes. It should be an easy modification for them to make but pretty hard to find in their source code.

Just checked S2member, and ya, lowest is 1 day.

What about some kind of automatic redirect? After 5 minutes, they get directed to a sign up page, or sales page? Only way I can think of.

I am guessing 5 minutes is for a sneak peek? Just thinking, is 5 minutes going to be enough that visitors can make an informed decision to join? Something to think about.

Here's another idea, if it's even possible. Set up a pop that pops after 5 minutes. Then either disable the "close" button, or if they close it they can redirected to a sign up page? Seems it would be doable.

I know with S2member, you can include code differently for nonmembers and members. So in the nonmembers code you could add the pop up code or trigger?

    Just a thought.

  • Most of the membership plugins out there would have the least trial period set for 1 day. You could reconsider your 5 min plan (but that's totally up to you )...

If you choose to go for a custom solution, I suggest this - look at integrating a small PHP based timer script on your member welcome page, which triggers on first login. That way after the 5 mins is over, the page could redirect to your second welcome page where you list out the options (payment, or inviting a friend).
