Would I be able to add spam prevention for this site

I have a site which is based on PHP and the member sign up is being spammed by some lowlife putting viagara and cigarette advertising into the fields. I have tried to track down the IP of this spammer to block them and adding it into banned IP address box but they just keep coming.

Is there a way I can add spam prevention to this site.

      Hi there

      If it were a wordpress site I would have no need to be asking about how to stop spam but it isn't a wordpress site so I need to know if there is another way I can add spam prevention to the member.htm file or the member.php file.

      Thanks for taking the time to answer though. I have taken your advice and I have now got that plugin loaded in a number of my sites I will investigate if this will work for the Funtoys site though.
