Hey everyone,

I have some affiliate products I sell and wanted to create a program where people can sell my affiliate products and I will pay them a commission of my commission.

I have been trying to think of a way to do this but so far cannot come up with a good idea.

The part I am getting stuck on is the fact that because I am selling someone else product, I cannot add tracking codes to the company pages.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

  • The easiest way to do this would be to sign up with an external affiliate merchant provider. Some of the ones I'm aware of are ShareASale, Commission Junction, LinkShare, and iDevAffiliate.

However, I'm not sure if they apply restrictions on you selling other affiliate products through there affiliate schemes, or indeed if this is going to be worth doing for the level of commission you are likely to get.

So, you want to make an affiliate program that will allow your affiliates to sell a product that is not yours and for which you are also an affiliate. So, if I understand right, they would need to split the profits with you.

First, think about why would anyone want to promote something like that. I know you want to make money without any effort, but I don't think you will be able to find serious affiliates to promote your "affiliate" products.

      What are their advantages?
They will receive only a lower procent per sale than they would normally receive by directly promoting that product.

I don't really see the point of this.

    Thanks for the response guys.

@Jellypie, thanks for the referrals. I contacted all of them and in the process of seeing if anyone can suit what I am trying to accomplish here.

I have already talked to a few different people about it, and so far still no solution.

This may be something I have to create...I know it can be done.

@Zenoth, thanks for the feedback. I actually came up with this idea when trying to figure out how to help my broke friend get started selling high ticket products online.

It is designed to give people who cannot afford to get into top tier sales, the ability to sell top tier products and get paid high commissions on. So it's actually a win/win scenario that is favorable to both parties.

So far, I came up with using Clickmagick to track everything and using that to track affiliate sales. The only problem is everything will have to be done manually. Which could get out of control.

If you guys have any other suggestions, I am very open to it.

    Thanks everyone!
