Hi there..

I have just put up my first website. I have 3 pictures that link to the affiliate product. If I have my mouse on the pictures it is all fine. But once I click on the pictures the address bar shows the whole affiliate link. I use NVU website builder. How can I hide this affiliate link in the address bar?

Many thanks already!

:-)

Unfortunately, there's no way to block what shows in the address bar. The only hiding you can do is with the links on your own site within your code.

erm try to use affiliate buzz or affiliate warrior to cloak the link. i use that software usually.

for example i put affiliate link for some ebook

      affiliate link:
      xxxx.ebook.clikbank.net

when i cloak it, i make it to be:
      ebook.htm

and i put on my website, it will look like this:
      mywebsite.com/ebook.htm

it will look like this in browser. hope this will help

Yeah exactly that's what I mean Johnjimat. I'm just not sure how it work with only having "banners" on my website. Thanks anyway

It works the same way using banners -- not only with text links. Just create a page that "cloaks" your affiliate link and link to that page in your banner image URL. This method works best for Clickbank products.

That's cool, I didn't know about that. Something I'll have to use in the future!

Use url shortening services. Or even install shortening script in your site (it's easy to do this with phurl script) and hide your links. They will look something like yoursite.com/products/8s4f2y
