How do I upload audo to a website via a link for the visitor?

I want to upload audio mp3 file so that an autoresponder sends out a link to download and listen to. Where is this mp3 file uploaded to and how? I have no idea how to do this and where the link comes from.

Tiffani,

Do you have a server or a web hosting provider? You can create a directory on your server where you can upload your MP3 files. You can then link to them in your autoresponder emails.

Yeah, that's the part I am not understanding, I am helping someone else out, not sure who they host with (will find out) but they make changes to their website via Adobe Contribute (not familiar with). However, to do this uploading, for directions, would I contact the webhosting company or is this more of a dreamweaver, HTML thing? Basically, I don't understand the exact steps needed to upload, link to, etc...
