Hello people, I am about to start work on my new personal blog, can anyone recomend any new wordpress themes that look cool and fuction well?

I would say wordpress is the best free in generating website for your product eventhough we have others like blogger or blogspot.

I use the Athualpa theme. it's easy to configure.

I find myself going back to this page over and over ... many of the themes are stunning and all free

I believe I'm using one of your themes, Gutenberg. If so, I posted a thread asking for help to customize it -- change font color of blog title and rename "Contact" page. Don't know the first thing about changing these features. Please help! Thanks.
