    Try View Source first

    On a pc with Chrome
    Go to website
    Right Click on mouse
    Left Click on View Source

    On a PC with Firefox
    Go to website
    Right Click on mouse
Left Click on View Page Source

Look for words such as joomla or wordpress
Look for plug-ins or add-ons that are CMS specific

If that does not help - email the tech support person

    Hope that helps

I use builtwith.com to check builds. It lays out pretty much anything they are using for their website.

    Hey try this :

    Guess — CMS Detector

Its guess is correct, most of the time.

The method @mlab told also works, but as a joomla developer, we generally hide it from meta tags so, its hard to see it in source code.

    Just my 2 cents
