Kindly Review My Short Guy Website.

Newbie here, but have been lurking for years and love this amazing forum/resource.

Please kindly (but be critical) review ShortGuyCentral.

It is a Community for Short Guys - Fashion, Dating Advice, Fitness, Business and Careers, Social Bias, etc.

It would be really cool if you guys could comment on design and offer some suggestions on how to best market it and help it hit #1 in Google Searches (keywords, etc).

Would also like if you guys could share the site using Facebook and Twitter buttons.

    The "Join the worlds..." font is pixelated and too close together.
    Add some hover effects to your icons, right now they don't act like butons.
    Black white and grey is pretty dull and no real life images other than that carousel is dull.
    You have no real call to action, I mean there is a join button up top and the "Join" headline but they just blend in with the black grey and white of the site.
    Speaking of call to action why would I join? What do I get if I join? Who exactly is your target audience, short guys or advertisers? Your post says "It is a Community for Short Guys - Fashion, Dating Advice, Fitness, Business and Careers, Social Bias, etc.", but it doesn't say that on the front page.
    Shop on your site? Why? What's unique about shopping on your site versus the many many other t shirt sites?

      Thanks for the critique. Would you recommend the call of action be the banner in the header of the site? Any specific recommendations? Red font? Arrow?

    • Everything monkeyfunky said. It's a dull and depressing color scheme... No call to action... No clearly defined goal of the page (dating? fashion?)... The ads clearly aren't for short guys but for businesses (I'm seeing a DirectMail2.0 ad)...
