Suggestion for event website

I am in the process of brainstorming ideas for an event website for a specific week of events that happens everywhere.

I would like a way for the user to be able to select the day and see events for that day, or select the place and see what events are happening there... or even the performer.

I want it to be easy to use and navigate while being able to sell tickets on the site.

I would also like the user to be able to log in and save their events and certain users to be able to log in and post events..

I was looking through themes and havent found anything really decent to start from.

If anyone can just point me in any good direction with some tips on this, I'd greatly appreciate it!

    I recently did a mach up of a site that would do basically the same thing. I used the Virtue theme ( free Virtue Free Wordpress Theme by Kadence Themes ) and then incorporated the GeoDirectory plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/geodirectory/


    Virtue without question of all the themes I have used has a bit of a learning curve. but the front end usability and I think stunning visual effect of the layout is second to none. Throw in the geodirectory plugin with the "premium" options and it ends up being pretty slick.
