tools to create long form sales pages

Hey everyone
I just started building my website funnel, and I'm not satisfied with the sales pages and templates generated by wordpress plugins, therefore, I'm thinking of creating my own, since I have some basic knowledge with HTML,CSS and javascript.
so the question is what tools do you suggest ?
I heard good things about Kompozer WYSIWYG HTML editor, but it looks very basic and "old school" I may add .
I don't want a classic sales letter, I mean this is 2015 , I need something dynamic, smart and functional.

    If you're looking for something responsive, then you can't go wrong with WordPress. There are loads of great themes/plugins to achieve what you want and OptimizePress is worth looking into.

    For HTML web sales pages, I use Kompozer. It is very basic but most of the content I insert into my web pages are images pre-created in Photoshop so I'm not looking for extended functionality.

    If you don't mind paying a subscription, LeadPages may also be of use to you and it also integrates well with many popular autoresponders like GetResponse/Aweber.

    As eKing says, Optimizepress is a good way to go, or a cheaper version is called Profit Builder. i own both and they are both amazing in their own rights.

    Unless you are really, really good with HTMl etc, I wouldn't advise you go that route.

    There is also Instabuilder. Though i have not used the newest version to say how well it works.

    Also, there are all kinds of salespage templates for wordpress, you can plug in and go.

    I agree with Richard, not always worth the time and frustration creating completely from scratch.
