Hi there,

I've been woking on this site for a while: http://www.optionsadvice.com

Everything good and well but I'm not that satisfied with conversions. I believe they could be much better.

The problem is I don't want to add too much, as that way the site would look too sales-ish and might be considered spam.

Can you please take a look at it, especially on the conversion elements (like the toplist tables) and especially on the inner pages pages that are linked from the top menu bar) and tell me your opinion about it.

What could I improve on the conversion elements and CTAs without making the site look too sales like and without being too obvious about the sales aspect.

Thanks.

First off, you want to increase conversions, but you don't want to make it to sales-ish. Don't make sense Gotta have sales copy to increase conversions. And what does it have to do with spam?

Do you want a pretty or nice site, or do you want a site that makes you money?

Not saying you need to pack your pages with ads or sales copy, but if you want sales, you need to sell. Does amazon hide the fact that they sell stuff? Not at all.

Don't mean to give you hard time, just see this so often, people afraid to sell. Unless you want a hobby website?

As for conversion, it of course comes down to testing. Do you know your conversion numbers? Visitors v.s. clicks, v.s. sales? Without that information, you flying blind. Could be copy, could be lack of visitors, could be quality of visitors, ect.

On your main page and all pages I think, the only "selling" I see is the "toplist tables" you mentioned. Don't see them getting many clicks. Why? There is no selling. No explanation what they even are. Most visitors might not even get it? You can't assume every visitor will understand your tables. Plus they do not have a strong call to action. At the very least those need to be expanded and there needs to be alot more selling, like the benefits, compelling reasons what the visitors why the visitor needs to click right now. Your job is to get them to the sales page and let the sales page do their job.

Also, what about email marketing? You could use it to generate leads you could market and promote into the future and not be totally dependent on only website visitors.

    Of course just my opinions
