Which Website Development Site To Choose?

I am an editor/proofreader who's creating a website to promote my services. I've gotten recommendations from warriors regarding free development sites: Jimdo, Yola, Webflow, WordPress (plus Theme Forest), etc. However, I might have an SEO/IM expert go in later to enhance my site (since I know nothing about SEO/IM). Is one of the sites I mentioned superior to the others with respect to SEO-enhancement purposes?

I would hate to discover that the platform I've chosen isn't SEO-friendly and little can be done to enhance my site. So would you SEO/IM expert-types recommend Jimdo over Yola? Webflow over WordPress (plus Theme Forest)? Any preferences?

    Hi there,

    I can speak from my past experience and say that almost every time when I had a client with similar needs like yours I advised him to go with WordPress. It is way cheaper to build, way easier for you to customize and manage your content and other things as such.

    Talking about SEO I never heard anyone complaining that by choosing WordPress or any other free platform had any problems with ranking whatsoever. Again my past clients never had any problems with SEO + WordPress.

    You need to be careful to install the correct plugins (and NOT a lot of them), to choose the correct theme to suit your needs (without extra features causing slower loading times for example) and to do proper SEO.

    Also the server response time will be a major component so be sure you choose a reliable hosting company.

    And these are some few short things which I thought about when I saw your thread.
