How is the design of my website?

Hey everybody. Just been making some changes to my website and was wondering how the design looked? I was trying to imagine that I was seeing it for the 1st time and would look to be able to get some new followers with it. Let me know what you think and I'll try to get back with you about any advice that I receive. I'm getting a little search engine traffic but any tips about how to get more besides just waiting or adding more content to this? Thanks a lot

    It is not bad, but quite honestly its pretty bare/generic and not anything that would incentivize a user to purchase any products from directly or increase conversion rates. If you are using wordpress I would suggest investing in a premium theme to captivate your audience better.

    It Looks "Ok" i would definitely get a different logo.. Head over to Fiverr to get one done for $5. Also, try to customize the fonts on the page especially on the sidebar, where your widgets are.. The titles should be more bold to stand out more.

      I may look into this later but I have also had a lot of people say they really liked the theme and logo as well but I did change the font on the website and think it looks alot better now.

        In my opinion your logo and your design are not compatible to eachother, because the logo looks kinda 2008, while the website looks like 2014.

        Also, I would make the text in the sidebar bigger (Recent blog posts)

    There are too many ads on the right sidebar, but because of the spacing and design of the website, it doesn't look too cluttered, but I would recommend you look once again into the placement of those ads, because the first time i viewed your website, I had nearly full banner blindness and didn't look at the right sidebar ads at all..

    If possible, try to use higher resolution images.

    You don't have a comment form for your blog posts by the way.. not sure if you missed that out.

      Hey there. You were right about the banner ad and I changed the size of it. I took out the comment form because of all of the spam I was getting though. Would much rather that they follow me or share my stuff on social media 2

        Hi there, I'm back. The theme looks neater now, but I would recommend you to change the images on your home page (e.g. thumbnails). They look really pixelated. Changing it to a HD or at least a much higher resolution and sharp image would vastly improve the 'branding' your website gives off.

        Perhaps color theme wise you might want to consider dark blue. Because 'treasure hunting' sounds 'fishy' to most laypeople, and dark blue hues are known to provide the feeling of security. Changing the color theme can potentially allay concerns subconsciously.

    My first impression - the theme is boring, too white and simple. Also it looks like keyword stuffing to me. The page I was on had "metal detector" and "treasure" mentioned about a million times. Those are the things I noticed at first.

    Thanks for letting me know and worked some on fixing the compression of my images. Also just got a new logo and did some changes to the sidebar and took out the border that was around the edge of it. Think it looks quite a bit better with these little changes and have also been getting some extra traffic and page views out of them as well

You must focus on responsive, if you want more traffic you should convert your site with responsive layout because now a days website are getting visits via mobile devices, tablet in high volume.
