Few days back, I write a blog. Now I am receiving a lot of promotional comment on my blog . Need help to how to Identify and Control Spam comment?

    Read the comments. It is pretty easy to identify which are spam. Most of them sound like shit and/or are using a keyword as their name like "air jordans online" or "lose weight fast".

    It's not that hard.

    Are you using a wordpress you can use akismet plugin for filter spam comments.

    As others have said, Activate Akismet and that will block some. You can even download other spam blocker plugins such as WP-SpamShield.

    If you are on wordpress you can use the free stop spammers plugin. It is VERY effective.

      Hi In your wordpress Admin panel go into -discussion then -settings you can put filters in place there. I also make sure these three boxes are checked
      Comment author must fill out name and e-mail
      Comment must be manually approved
      Comment author must have a previously approved comment.
      This way comments will not appear on the post until you manually approve them -- this can be time consuming if you get a lot of comments but if you only get a few a week you can do it any time you log into your wordpress admin panel the number of new unapproved posts will be flagged.Then you approve the ones you want posted and delete or mark as spam on the others . I hope this helps
