I bought 5 website templates from $7 templates, and the headers are suppose to be editable, but for some reason i am unable to edit them......I have GIMP 2.4 but have not figured out how to take the words "YOUR HEADER HERE" and "YOUR SLOGAN HERE AND HERE.....

Can someone show me how to change these?

Thanks and have a Blessed Day!!

I have never used GIMP before... but .psd files are photoshop. Maybe this is why you're having issues?

.PSD file format is adobe phototshop base file format. GIMP can not read text layers which made in photoshop, but picutre layers can be edited in gimp. it recognized text layers as a image. if you need to change "word goes here" layer, easiest way is delete it and re -type what you want. dont forget to save your orginal copy of template first . make a another copy and make changes in that file. good luck! if u need any help let me know!!

Pretty simple to do open the psd file using gimp, then do the following:

    1. click on dialogs then layers.
    2. in the new pop up box that appear click on the layer you wish to change.
    3. In the bottom right corner is a trash bin click this and the layer is deleted.
    4. do this for all the text layers you wish to change.
    5. click on the text button A choose your font color etc.
    6. then on the header click the cursor any where and type your text.
    7. Then position your text where you would like to position it.

That's all Pm me if you need any other help.

I've had many problems along this line until I discovered that I could open the picture for viewing just by double clicking on it. Once I could see the picture I right clicked on it and made a copy. That copy could be pasted into any of my picture software where I worked my miracles and went right on without a care in the world.
