I'm starting a new website and I have the domain name and I'm hosting thru HostGator. I was wondering what would be the easiest web development service to use, with good help available if needed, and be able to add a variety of things to it, like a blog, forum, videos uploads, affiliated marketing, etc. I was thinking Wordpress, then heard something about Optimize Press?? I've seen Weebly advertised and some others. But I'm having a hard time deciding which to go with

Weebly is good to start, but, you can also try other ways like you may take a help of templatetoaster. It's also a great option to use. Its a designing software that helps to create a variety of themes for major CMSs like WordPress, Joomla, Magento etc..

The most commonly used is WordPress. And people like it and have fairly little problems with it. So I guess, I'd recommend you try it and see for yourself.

Weebly is good..but it's not enough to meet your requirements. So, It better for you to develop your website with WP CMS.

I'm a WordPress developer, if you're looking for a CMS, the popular scripts at this time are WordPress (software), Joomla and Drupal. You can choose whatever script that you want, there are other scripts out there that are not that popular, it's really depend on you..

You can also use the app "Softaculous" on your cPanel, under the section Software/Services, and auto-install the script that you chose in their library, if you want to make the installation easy.

WordPress works great on HostGator and is by far the best platform for online help, tutorials and forums it also has an extensive library of Plugins, Themes and extensions.

    • Creating a professional website is in fact really simple, and Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress and Joomla has literally taken all the technicalities out of the game, opening for anyone to easily start your own website and make money, even on a tight budget.

Dont ever go for any built in platforms like weebly, wix etc.You would be stuck with everything you have got.Go for custom work and you would be free to update or make edits anytime by anyone.
