Using an Instabuilder Template for the Blog?

Hi guys,

I've not posted in this section before so forgive me if it's the wrong place. I'm helping a client by creating a large number of micro niche websites. I've recently given Instabuilder a go and the more I use it, the more I prefer it over other tools such as Optimizepress.

Anyway, I'd like to know how I would go about using a landing page template that I've created for the blog and single blog posts (as well as anything else that comes up - i.e. archive searches etc.

I assume I export the template as html and somehow use it to replace the necessary theme files in Wordpress' default theme? Basically all I'm after is the header and footer to be changed so it matches the landing page.

Any input into how to do it would be appreciated. I'm not a designer or developer my any means - just Wordpress stuff.

Thanks,
Antony

I'm not sure if you've found the answer to this but I've used InstaBuilder for a while now and recently made the decision to re-vamp one of my websites. I wanted to do the same thing and I think I've found a good solution for you.

First thing, go to Post in your WordPress admin area and Add New. Then title the post something like "Blog Template." Save it - and then launch the InstaBuilder editor.

Depending on how you want the blog page to look - either use one of the templates or click the Start From Scratch at the bottom right of the pop-up box (my preference).

    Create your page.

Then save this page as a template. To save as template you click on the drop down menu just to the right of the Publish button at the top right from within the InstaBuilder Editor. It will give you the option of what category to save the page (i.e. Squeeze Page, Sales Page, Thank You Page, Other) - I'd suggest 'Other' so it's easy to find.

Then when you want to add a blog post you go in and use that as your template.

Should do the trick. Hope it helps.
