Changing templates?

Hello I have a question about changing wordpress themes. I am planning to build a wordpress blog with many posts and would be using free theme first to minimize costs. Later I would buy premium theme and my question here is, is it hard to transffer all articles pictures and everything from one theme to another and would that impact seo at all?

    It's not harder to transfer all the stuff from one theme to another since it will be automatically transferred. However there will be some slight "website design/look and feel" differences as a result of using a different theme. Some themes don't automatically generate post excerpts or post thumbnails etc.etc. Some themes are not responsive etc.etc.

    It will affect the on-page SEO
    (the extent to which a specific theme is SEO efficient. Some themes are better than
    other themes from the SEO point of view).

    It will not the off-page (e.g. backlinks) SEO.
