How to enable comments on static WP blog?

Hullo,
i have set up a WP blog with static pages and would like to enable comments.
i have commenting enabled from my dashboard but nothing shows up-- any clues for the clueless here?

    You probably just need to add the code for comments on those static pages. Are you using a custom Wordpress theme? If so, the comments code was probably not included on that file that controls your static pages.

      hmm, yes, I am using a custom theme, called Affiliate Theme. i'll have to check it out--

      Try to include comments.php as seen in single.php or something like that...
