Latest Wordpress Update

I'm sure the last version of wordpress was easier to customize than the latest update.

I'm trying to change what appears in the menu i.e. blogroll/archives/recent posts, and waht actually appears in the blogroll list. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Getting very frustrated playing around with it...

    Just figured it out, it was the theme that was a bit weird not the latest update.
