Hi,

I had some trouble understanding who provides the name servers for the domains I purchase from a third party company and decide to host them on another company's servers? Hosting company or the the company where i bought the domains from?

Thanks

Name servers are provided by your hosting ,

    Here is how it works

My domains are registered with company A
My Hosting is registered with company B

All i will have to do is to get the name servers from company B ( they mainly send you name server details in welcome email ) and use them with A ..

So if I have domain names with godaddy.com and I have my hosting with bluehost.com then what I would need to do is go to godaddy.com and point to 'domains' and then click 'manage' and just change the existing nameservers to (ns1.bluehost.com and ns2.bluehost.com). Thats it.
