The best Adsense placement in a blog

I am thinking about rebuilding a WP template.
But, I need some input on the best placement
on the Adsense blocks like in the layout example below.

It can vary from blog to blog, just test it all the time,
but I know that the place above the post entry converts great ,
you can see an example of this placement at smashing magazine.
