Hi All,

I have had a client ask me the following :

"Can you build a forum into a website? It needs to match members to a database and automatically give them members rates to purchases"

What I understand is......1. Need a webstore that is accessible to registered customers only 2. how is the member registration info be stored ? 3. Can this info been sent to a linked CRM application?
4. Can we integrate a forum for member participation?

I build sites for clients using Weebly and have also some knowledge of a wide range of online platforms. My question is how easy would it be to teach myself how to do this for a client ? Secondly if the learning curve would be to much if I have no knowledge at all of how to do this does anyone know someone who could or the correct path to making this happen.

Thanks in advance

Peter

Will most easy to install forum scripts include the following capability:

It needs to match members to a database and automatically give them members rates to purchases"

The client wants forum members who join then to be able to purchase from an e-store also attached to the site at a discounted rate.

That would be the first question of importance here!

Can you install some outsiders PHP/MySQL scripts on the Weebly platform? I doubt it, I think they have their own app only that can be installed on their platform.

Many have mentioned some forum popular scripts but none of these alone would bring a solution to your request. I doubt anyway that you could do what is asked by your client on the weebly platform. If you were on the WordPress platform that would be another story. you could use Woocommerce with some specific plugins with BBPress and Buddypress to do the magic.
