Hi Breedskool,

My honest C'n'C : I don't like it.

As blunt as I sound I don't mean to be harsh - I'm actually quite surprised that I don't like it because generally I do like similar looking websites.

The very top of the page looks awesome, as does the very bottom of the page - the problem is the content in the middle.

Although the page appears to be "clean" - the pictures you've used in the scroll-graphic are very poor quality and appear blurry and distorted - I recommend you run these images through Photoshop and give them a fix up, then do a quick research and learn how to optimize your images for the web (a quick Google for a Photoshop tutorial will teach you everything you need to know in 5 minutes flat, don't worry).

Additionally - I have a wide screen laptop and the video posted on the right hand side of the page takes the website dimensions and stretches them off my screen - which isn't good.

And: the post graphics you've chosen don't work well together and don't help the overall look and feel of the website.

In my opinion you've made a good start - you've got a solid template up and you've got your content down - you just need to make a few little tweaks to turn this sites presentation issues around and you'll be onto a winner.

It's always the little things

So, to conclude, in my opinion: fix the graphic quality issues by optimizing the graphics to display well online, tweak the page to bring the right hand bar a few pixels away from the edge of the screen (or resize the video to fit better) and the overall look and feel will increase tenfold.

Nice work so far, keep going!

Edit: The Facebook plug-in on the right hand side of the page isn't displaying correctly either brother - it's coming up with red text saying incorrect Facebook ID, the Google+ plug-in is working though and displays perfectly.

I like the general appearance of the site but I pretty much agree with Dot Commer's remarks above. The video on the right was about half off my screen which as a site visitor I would find it unacceptable.

The opt-in pop up did not make me feel like I should sign up for your newsletter. Perhaps some type of incentive would be more appealing.

Under "latest posts" there looks to be only one article with blank space. That gives the impression of inactivity.

Overall not a bad site. I agree that the images are low quality though. It's good that you have a pop up to get subscribers but even that isn't really trustworthy/appealing.
