This is a really dumb question -- re: WP plugin + home page set up...

Yes -- I already asked "them" about this + got no response.

Has to do with the plugin called funnel kit -- but really applies to any builder plugin -- Ok -- this is gonna seem like a really REALLY dumb question, so pardon me in advance...

Ok -- I have (let's say) mydomainzzz(dot)com -- I install WP on it.

Then I install funnelkit *plugin* on the site, as any other plugin.
Which is basically a *page builder*kind of plugin.
Then I create a page using funnetkit. That's all fine.

Now........ how do I make the CONNECTION between the page I have created using funnelkit, and what the visitor SEES when they ARRIVE at mydomainzzz(dot)com??? I mean, I am using funnel kit to create a LANDING PAGE, of course. And after I create a page using FK, I have that page as a page. And I also have the default page that the generic THEME I have, shows to the visitor as the page they "land" on, when they arrive.

BUT... the theme does not seem to know that the FK created page(s) even exist!

I *DO* see, as part of the settings of the theme that I can CHOOSE which page is my "front" (static?) page -- but the drop down menu THERE only includes pages that were built using the THEME, not pages that were built using the plugin!!! Again, as far as the theme can "see," the pages built by the page-building PLUGIN, do not exist!

All I wanna do is set it up so the visitor to mydomainzzz(dot)com (or whatever), SEES my FK created page! Then, I wanna set it up so that when someone visits mydomainzzz(dot)com, what they ARRIVE AT, is the page I built using this plugin.

NOWHERE in the tutorials do I see the way to accomplish this!

Please help!! Thanks!!

In my opinion there is no such thing as a dumb question.

Honestly I haven't had the pleasure of working with the FunnelKit plugin but I was able to do some research and found a video that shows how to create the landing pages with FunnelKit. Without me having access to the FunnelKit plugin via WP admin I can't be sure if they had all the steps on the video; but I really hope they did and that it does help you.

If that doesn't have all the steps let me know and I can research some more to help you get the FunnelKit landing page running asap.

I got the basic answer from support -- and that answer is, no, it's not possible.

Reason is, what plugin is *calling* a "page," isn't really a page at all.

The answer is a little more complicated than that -- but that's the basic reason.

IMO, they should say that upfront, so people don't have to go through the torture I did -- only to discover that it's not possible in the 1st place!

Actually, not only do they state it in the lightning fast training video, but it also says it on the "Page Created page when you first save a new page...

But it doesn't work, as you say.

You have to insert the following lines in your .htaccess file...

    Code:
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteRule ^$ /your-funnelkit-page-name-here/ [R=301,L]
The first line is already there most likely.

Just another half-backed promo product to bait you for another $XX for some measly templates which are a bait for the million dollar, gotta have, making me super rich upsell which is most likely as half-cocked as the plugin, lol.

I guy gets tired of people wasting his time, y'know.
