Drone Pilot + Content Creator looking for constructive criticism.

Hey guys!

With a new year comes a new plan on how to continue growing my already successful freelance business which is bringing me in approx. $5000 a month already but it is all client based filming and editing.

The website is www.adamkrowitz.com. At the moment its more like a portfolio than anything else and any feedback on the website in general would be great.

This is my FB Page, and this is my Instagram.

Essentially this year I want to take advantage of everything I currently do and combine it with internet marketing.

I want to create killer content (blogs, articles + original content) and monetise this through my Amazon Affiliate account (open to better ideas) but have no idea how to direct traffic and do any of the backlinking/keywording stuff on my wordpress site.

I have made a list of blog titles that I know a lot about on the topics of drones, filmmaking, and personal development. I will be using me own content throughout because it seems only logical.

Also happy to pay someone to help me with ideas and implementation. I wrote a couple test blogs so ignore the content on those I was just testing to see how to implement my Amazon Affiliate stuff.

I have also attached my 2016 plan and would love someone who knows more than me to rock my world by telling me where the flaws are. Love criticism from people who know more than me.

    Oh and I forgot to ask....is blog creation even the best way for someone in my position to be moving forward?

    Essentially I want a passive income stream on top of my existing client income and am willing to put it in the hours as I'm already self-employed and work from home.

      Do you have an email opt-in list for your existing clients??

      Mailing commercial messages to your own list is the most
      powerful and profitable type of free advertising on earth.

      Make sure you messages to your list are at least 2 to 1
      informational versus sales.

      Building a list is the strongest first step you can take toward your goal.

          You are off to a good start. If you offer a relevant incentive you
          should get a higher subscription rate.

          Do a Google search for something like "drones" + free ebook. See
          if anything suitable comes up. I'm sure you can think of other related
          subjects that would be suitable for a freebie.

          I visited your site and you have a nice setup. Your opening photos
          are outstanding.

          However, I've got some suggestions for your text. Since I use to
          teach as a reading specialist I am always acutely aware of
          readability issues with website text.

          -1- Your text is much too wide. You would be better served with
          a 2-3 column layout (particularly for marketing purposes in the sidebar(s).

          -2- Try making ALL text boldface. For EMPHASIS use color and/or increased
          font size.

          -3- Increase the default font size slightly (that's for all text). Try the
          different looks in two windows for comparison.

          -4- No paragraph should be more than 3-4 lines even with a 3 column
          format.

          -5- You need more images to integrate into the text. http://pixabay.com
          is a great source of quality pictures. I checked and it seems they have
          an ample supply of drone images. Also,http://pexels.com offers free
          pictures as well as some free video clips.

          Pixabay is great because the pictures require no attribution.

          -6- Finally, if you need blog content ideas consult that category on
          my blog where I have about 29 separate entries.
