Requesting Constructive Criticism

Hello, Fellow Warriors!!

I am just about ready to launch my a website/blog but I'm a little nervous.

I would love it if someone could take a look at my website and give me some feedback before launch.

I'm a little confused though, I don't want to post the link for fear of the admins thinking I'm trying to advertise.

I truly just want some feedback from experienced internet marketers.

I'm extremely proud of what I've done but I need some sort of reassurance.

Please let me know if you can help out!! Thanks.

Enter the link. Website review requests seem to be a pretty standard
feature in this section of the forum.

Thank you. The link is Smart Laptop Lifestyle - Work Smart, Not Hard - It's still only 90% completed, but I should be done soon. Any advice would be much appreciated.

You have an impressive start but there are improvements in
several areas that I would suggest. I'm going to take one
phase at a time and deal with other issues in subsequent
      posts.

First of all I love the logo of the hammock between two palm
      trees.

I would put that as the top logo on your home page.

Smart Laptop Lifestyle – Internet Marketing Education (Maybe
"Secrets" should replace "Education" - your choice)

DO NOT repeat Internet Marketing Education. Instead LIST BENEFITS!!
Use bullet points. 3-5 (Alternate font colors)

THEN ==>> comes "Learn More" because you have given visitors
a much more precise reason why they should click and go deeper
      into the site.

Re: "The Best Way to Ensure You'll Never Be Free is to Work for a Boss."
This might be true but there is no definitive connection to your opening
content. (It is not clear YET that work from home, be your own boss
is the purpose of your site). Maybe have a red arrow pointing down
      from this quote.

Ok, I like the navigation from the "Learn More" button.

However, your text is MUCH TOO WIDE. As someone who has a
Masters Degree in Developmental And Remedial Reading I am
acutely attuned to issues of reading comprehension.

Cut your line length in half. Not everybody "reads" your content.
Many "scan" it. Difficult to do with excessive text width.

Fundamentally, I think you should go with a 2 or 3 column format, especially
      for promotional purposes.

Lastly, integrate relevant pictures into the text. http://pixabay.com is an excellent
source of quality images that require NO ATTRIBUTION. Spend 15 minutes
a day downloading relevant images to your intended content.

OK. That's enough for now. I await your feedback/reaction/questions.

Thank you so much for the valuable feedback!! It means a lot that you took the time to offer some constructive criticism for me.

I have implemented the suggested changes, but I'm having a few issues still. The bullet point HTML I inserted is not showing up on the page. I believe it's being overridden by the CSS, but I'm unsure how to fix this.

I'm not opposed to making this a 2 column format, but I am unsure what to put in the column since I built this as a full paged site. Any suggestions?

Thanks for suggesting Pixabay. That is a fantastic site with great images. I'll be sure to start implementing some relevant images today.

Update: My theme does not support a sidebar on the main page, but it allows a 2 column format on the rest of the pages.
