hi.

i am updating my website. i have changed the pictures in the slider and done some other things but i am not confident with the home page. to me it looks like there is not enough content on the page and to many pictures ie. dont have time for a perfect lawn, like us on face book etc.
i was going to change so there was more text and widen the text up to the request a free call back and put 2 of the pictures under the text. i hope i have described this ok. i have made a quick start. if you have a look in the menu bar and click on test.
let me know what you think.

It looks great mate, have you thought about adding a marketing video to your homepage?

You can get a really professional marketing video on fiverr for a great price.

I love it. Very nice job! The only thing I would do is make the text white (or bright yellow) in the brown footer (the lack of contrast makes it too hard to see)

          Seangrasshopper:

You should be teaching us not the other way around. You have an
          outstanding site design.

As msthing noted your footer is unreadable due to the dark background.

Another minor note:A couple of typos => "Once the weeds have started
to die back are able to remove them." (??)

Also, weed in the preceding sentence should probably be "week".

IMPORTANT: Add a testimonial (with picture and location if possible)
from your most appreciative existing customer on the test page.

I see you have a testimonials page, but I think pictures of 1-3 customers
standing in front of a picture perfect lawn or other suitable prop
would surpass in value by a good margin the textual endorsements.

Your next step is getting listed in all the local directories.

Lastly, start a newsletter that you send out every two weeks.
There are multiple affiliate sales you can make related to outdoor
enjoyment. Plus, even when customers move away, or vacation
for the winter you can still make sales.

With a mailing list you can do JOINT PROMOTIONS with local
merchants, so having an opt-in email list may not seem obvious,
but it is still very important.

          Best of success.

hi thank you for your useful comments. yes the text on the foot is very hard to read, i will look in to changing that.
and thank you taxtorpedo for your comments. i very much like the putting a face and location to the testimonial. i am in the process of getting video testimonials from some of my customers so i am going to see how i can fit these into the website.
thankyou for pointing out the typos. i have a writer rewriting my welcome and about page at the moment and i think i will get her to go through the who site. writing is not something i am very good at.

Just some suggestions, get rid of the slider and replace it with an autoplay marketing video from fiver, add your before and after pictures in the body.

That's just a suggestion, but really it looks pretty good at least fix the footer color and is it possible to get better quality images for slider

I just made a landscaping website, check out my design at Steve's Hernandez Landscape and Maintenance in the Bay Area - Professional Bay area Landscaping Services. I still plan on improving it such as adding a form for people to fill out for quotes.

I like your design though its nice I just recommend adding all the services on the first page for the visitor to quickly see all available services offered other than that you have some nice pages, just the homepage needs some work.

The website looks good. Are you getting leads through it and how many per week or month? The design and everything else is fine. You just need to make it big now and if you're in the long run, I would advice to get targeted traffic and try Facebook marketing. PM me if you need someone for this.

The site looks great, personally I think the bottom would look better in the same green as the top. do you cover the whole of Cornwall?
Getting your google map listing within the top 3 would dramatically increase traffic to your site, check out
    http://www.warriorforum.com/search-e...e-top-3-a.html

    for some tips.

      Hello,
your site looks really nice. In my opinion I would change the brown color at bottom to dark green as you have on top of the page, then yellow color of letters will fit perfectly. Maybe more text on page ?! But all of this are just litlle things that wont make huge diffrence.
You should focus on making quality newsletter as someone already said in prev comment !

      Overall, GoodJob friend

Hi Sean - as of visiting the site today it looks clean, tidy, mostly fast-loading, modern and easy on the eye, which are all positives; as with the over-all impression: it's pretty much all positive. Pretty much.

I like the modern styling and fresh, bright colour scheme - the design is nice on the eyes which helps the site to covert and sell IMHO.

    Content: problem.

Honest critisism please take it how you will:

The paragraphs to the left of the page appear very untidy; messy even and uneasy on the eyes. Aligning the paragraph text with a CSS code is a quick easy fix for this and perhaps spacing some of the content with more use of the HTML <p> tag.

Secondly: the animated banner is weak and could be a lot more impressive. Your work which it is showcasing looks very good, and the rest of the site looks very impressive, I just think the banner could do with a re-styling to bring it up to the same standard as the rest of the page.

As far as ideas for something to work on and gain from:
Try adding some nice info-graphics to your web site to engage your audience in the importance and process of lawn care. Or further engage your audience in the importance and process of obtaining work and services from yourselves.

It would also be wise to make the Call to Action and Key Benefits larger, easier and more prominant.

Just something to think about. (And by that I mean get to work and tweak these issues).

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Sean, just to let you know also I'm getting a Javascript error appear at the bottom of the page, I think it has something to do with your Like button.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Warrior buddy as I can see you are genuine and you are putting in work: Your website is 97% complete pal, the bigger focus for you now should be on getting good quality traffic to your website and start testing conversions.

Seriously: the website design is piff. It's candy enough to convert, especially once you've tweaked the little bugs I've high-lighted in this post - you are good to advance!

High quality RELEVENT traffic + Testing, tracking and tweaking how your website converts.

If you're not working on this already then get onto it now. Credit to you for the work you've put in so far, all the best with your business and ventures brother! Get at me if you need me,

    peace,

There are two main things you need to have under consideration

    1. user expirience
    2. Google

For user expirience better is to not have to much content, people can get lost while browsing before they find the contact form or tel.

Unfortunately Google loves content and mainapge should also has some optimized for you keyphrase (main) content.

Very important these days is to build up fresh content frequently, would be perfect if you could integrate a blog with your website if you don not have one yet.
