    Bootstrap will help you layout the store and shopping cart, but it will not provide you with any back-end functionality to actually create a store, and since stores are based on tons of data, you'll need something to manage all of your data as well.

    If you are planning to create just a single page website I recommend not to use bootstrap.
    Bootstrap is a good tool (not a great one) if you want to build a webpage but in the majority of the cases it is an overkill. The css and js files are too big and bloated and they will slow down your website.

    There are a bunch of frameworks - bootstrap is good. If it turns out you don't like it, there are, as it's said - "more fish in the sea". Good luck!

    Here's a list of free one-page wordpress themes. Not sure if that helps. You mentioned 'theme' in your original post so I assume you plan on using WordPress. If not, you might consider it. That or some other CMS. I know it's just one page but you never know - you might want to add more later on down road.

    If you're planning to create a single-page website using Bootstrap, I suggest not. It's better to use a CMS like Wordpress. Just like what HCFGrizzly had said, the css and js files are too big and bloated it might slow your website down. You should avoid creating or having a slow website as it can cause high bounce rates.

      You have a part of the truth. It might not be a good idea to use Bootstrap, but using WordPress is even worse. If you think Bootstrap is bloated, why do you think a CMS will be lightweight?

    I think that Bootstrap does not encourage great design! Unfortunately, using a predefined grid is the wrong approach to achieving a great design. What do you think about this? My opinion is that Bootstrap is the wrong tool for the job! As far as I know, Bootstrap was created with a precise goal in mind. Now it is developing in according with this the initial vision for the project. It was created so that developers may concentrate on back end code and fast iterate without having to worry about the front end.
