hi

i cant decide which to buy

either a wordpress theme which high sales on themeforest or similar,
or
to go with divi, avada, be, x, enfold or porto?

i get the impression that ill be a little limited if buying an actual single theme rather than one of the others?

X theme seems to look like the newest up and coming theme but is this too hard to get to use if you just want to build a few websites?

ideally im going to build myself a few different websites. at least 2x different ones, maybe upto 5 or 6. ill also be doing a few seperate woocommerce websites.

if im going to use a website builder then ill have to learn it, but i assume it cant be that hard.

ive tried to look at reviews on youtube but most seem to be tutorials or paid affiliates.

whats the advice to go for?

my idea was to use a theme builder to build myself a generic theme that i liked with all the included things like sliders, forms etc and leave it unbranded. then use this theme for each of my websites but just change the branding and the content.

thanks

How about a third option - either the Genesis or Thesis framework with which you can use any number of child themes? This is what I do most of the time.

I was asked the exact same questions by one of my contacts. They wanted to build a similar site to this https://www.foodpanda.com/

Don't actually have the correct answer. Hope you guys can help.

        Thanks.

There are canned themes on themeforest that will come close in functionality. Those can be bought for well under $100 and then add some customization.

ive quickly looked at genesis and thesis.
they look to be just like the others, where you create your own theme from scratch (sort of).

Here's the problem you may encounter.

You have several sites you want to build, but I don't think for a minute you'll be necessarily happy using the same theme for all of them. You might think so in the beginning - but some of how the site is designed and laid out can be negated by the niche.

And this goes for plugins too. I don't use the exact same formula of plugins for every site I come into contact with. And my clients have a whole other list of things going on based on their needs.

If you don't care to take the time on a theme that needs tweeking for every site you create, then I'd suggest you just pick ONE of the niches and the theme for that first.

It's decisions like this that can stop you dead in your tracks from just getting a project done (been there done that ).

What I personally like to do with some niches is scope out the competition first and see how their sites are laid out.

I have a drag and drop builder, so I can choose to either replicate the look or I have a better idea of what I'm looking for when going on a theme hunt.

A word about woocommerce - there are themes made specifically for getting the best look out of using the plugin.

You could try going the free route just to get the sites up, and once you make some $ back use it to invest in something more custom.

Once themes are added to WP, it only takes seconds to try them on - like new outfits. Find one that's good enough and move onto getting the sites filled in.

Just buy a good theme on ThemeForest, there're tons of them that made more than 5.000 sales because they are updated every week or month, new features added, new compatibility, new options, etc.

You won't need other thing more than that, you can customize them as you want, even if you need something you can always ask the seller, he will help you out. Find trending themes or most sellers, pay attention to the updates and make your choice.

WordPress is the best option, you can buy single theme too.
