How the credit card transactions are handled in websites like if you want to book a flight it will show page where we need to enter credit card details and it will automatically deducts the amount ....how these are handled?

I don't really understand your question... You could always use a payment gateway such as PayPal, Moneybookers, etc. They handle credit cards securely and are trusted.

Hi, Gollimari.
To accept credit card payments online, you need three things: a merchant account, a payment gateway, and the code you place on your website that connects your site to the payment gateway. Here are some definitions that may help to explain:
If you don't use PayPal, you typically have to separate these services. You obtain a merchant account from a bank, and you get payment gateway services from another company (one popular choices is Authorize.net) which will help you with the code for your website. Hope this helps. Steve |
