This cartoon was stolen off my site which I offer as an image licensing database. See the attached screen shot of same image that was used as a fullpage newspaper ad by some political group in Illinois. Here is my question to any wordpress user: How best to stop this on my site? Is there a way I can tweak my CSS or? Your insight and feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.

Here is a screenshot of the fullpage ad and note how they blocked out my signature and hacked the image with word balloons of their own. The publisher indicated the political group said my image was "public domain" (far from it, if you know a little about copyright law)

You may want to consider more watermarking the images on your site.

You can try sending a take down notice on who ever stole the image:

      What is a DMCA Takedown? - DMCA.com
      Signature

"May I have ten thousand marbles, please?"

Oh, we are unable to open thumbnails here.

Edit added: you may want to consider a lawyer too.

You should get commissions on what ever newspapers were sold.

    Jill:

The thumbnail appears in my browser here, and when I click it, enlarges to a larger image. Pls try again. Yes, I need to add DMCA info on my site....I just wonder though if CSS can be edited so images cannot be copied......are you a photographer btw?
