Problem in installing wordpress

Dear senior warriors,

I'm new with wordpress installation. I've tried to install wordpress with usbwebserver. But I always encountered this error ;"One or database tables are unavailable. The database may need to be repaired." I followed the exact instruction to repair the database but it is unsuccessful. I've tried using different thumbdrives to try out, but still faced the same error.

What may go wrong? Can anyone advise me what should I do to solve this problem?

    It sounds as if you are over complicating a very simple and straightforward process by using a third party program unnecessarily.

    Wordpress provide very explicit instructions in their Codex: https://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress

    I agree with Annie. I use Softaculus sometimes (just being lazy). Never had a problem when following instructions in Codex, an as far as I know it's the correct way to install WordPress.
