I have come across Delavo / Delevarian Marketing by John Delavera.

Is it a fully centralised system and how good is it.

For such a simple question I could go on for pages on end.

But since I know you want a simple answer, the answer is yes, it is a centralized system, and it is as good as it gets.

You can think of John Delavera as the Bill Gates or Steve Jobs of Internet Marketing, he has developed THE software that (is already) and will soon be the standard of Internet Marketing.

Some people might not agree with me, they will tell you that some smaller scripts are better and easier to use, or cheaper, but trust me, when you invest in your online business, you only want the best, and when you really invest in your online business, you take the time needed to learn how to use your tools. (It is not like John did not make videos and manuals teaching all the users how to use the system, and also, DELAVO is not that expensive at all, he was giving the core as a gift!)

I think you should give it a go, test it for yourself, see how it feels, learn about its power, and then you will be able to make up your own mind.

If centralization is what you want, you can't get any better than DELAVO.

I use Delavo to run my entire Internet business including all my products (ebooks, reports, even my newsletter), services (I resell hosting, also my consult service is run through Delavo) and memberships (7 memberships currently).

I can see what each of my customers purchased and when.

I can see what my affiliates sold, how much they earned in commissions, etc.

And this is only a small fraction of what Delavo does.

As Nathan said, I could also go on for pages.

Also John is adding more and more plug-ins every month to expand what Delavo can do.

And the support is outstanding. Free manuals, videos, and workshops are also being added all of the time. Plus a forum where power Deavo users will answer any question you may have about Delavo.

With all of this, getting Delavo really is a no brainer.

      Hi Nathan

I'm considering RAP or DELAVO to buy. Still don't know which one to choose.

      I plan to do this:
      • I want someone who have a product can apply their product to be sold through my website using a form.
      • I will recruit affiliates to sell that JV's products.
      • Then when someone buy through affiliate link - the affiliate, me, and the product's owner get commissions with the percentage that I've set before.
Is delavo's JV products plugin made for this purpose?

Another question, I think centralization can be plus point (for ease of management) BUT also can be weak point (if the server crash, all my website will not work properly). What do you think about this?

What do you do to anticipate this problem? Is it easy to backup my delavo installation?

In Your opinion, why should I choose delavo rather than RAP (which is far mofe cheaper)?

      Thanks

Tyhanks for the feedback guys, I am have been looking at using wordpres ad am on a demonstration tonight with Xsite Pro... I have no technical knowledge or HTML expereince and am looking at something I can use that will get me going with little technical now how as possible.

I came across delavo and noticed it was being offered as a total 1 system does all... but wanted to find out if this was the real deal.

It is a little pricey but it sounds like the investmen t could be worth it especially if it simplifies everything..

I just wanted to clarify what these different scripts/software applications actually do, since I own &/or use all three that you mentioned.

Wordpress is a blogging/cms platform that runs on your web server and it allows you to build and publish to your websites from your web browser.

xSitePro is an excellent website development software application that runs on your PC and also allows you to build and publish to your websites, but from your PC.

DELAVO is a whole other animal altogether. While you can use it's template system to create minisites, it's strength is in managing ALL the other stuff you need to run an internet marketing business besides just the website development alone.
      - Manages payments and access to paid content/materials for your customers
      - Manages multiple affiliate programs
      - Allows you to track and communicate with your customers & affiliates
      - Allows your customers a central location to retrieve information on past purchases
      - Provides a central location for your affiliates to find promotional material for ALL of your products, services & memberships that you want them to promote - as well as a central location to track campaign conversion rates, etc.
      - plus, plus, plus even more stuff
(and that's just the core system... there's so much more you can do with plugins offered...)

My advice to you is to make the investment in Delavo for running your business for sure. As for creating your websites, if you're comfortable with Wordpress, then it's a good way to go since it's free. But if you want more control over the look and feel of your sites and you're not comfortable playing around with wordpress themes, then xSitePro is certainly a very robust website creation tool.

      Take care,
      Paula.

Delavo is pretty much the best ecommerce solution on the planet. With it's ever icnreasing plugins, it's years ahead of anything out there. Runs one of my 6 figure hosting companies. Have 60K+ paying customers, so... I'm definitely talking from a heavy-user perspective.

      Maxitman,

I really do not think you know who you are talking about, or you are not really familiar with the use of an email program.

John never promises freebies, and he delivers everything, and I am pretty sure that no one else out there has a team of dedicated people like John does attending to each customer in a personal way.

Make sure you are talking about Delavo first, and if you really are 100% certain you are talking about Delavo and John Delavera, please use the help desk link provided in every single page of his websites to create a support incident.

please when you do, use gmail or your personal email, since hotmail, yahoo and aol are very much useless nowadays.

          Hi Maxitman

To answer your claims: have you ever tried to use the channels of communications John has already established? And they are more than 1:
          -Live Help
          -TurboHelpdesk
          -Turbo Community forum
          -Delavo Community forum
          -His blogs
-And as the last resort, there is the Red button, where you can reach John himself, but this should be, as I mention, your last resort.
-Also, even though this is not a support forum, I think, you still can ask here how to reach John Delavera's support (although I am sure, in every autoresponder you should have received, there is, at least, a link to reach the help desk).

So, I would suggest to stop trying to throw mud at others products and services and start trying to be more collaborative and open minded.

          That's my 2 cents advice

            Hi bizzboxmedia

I am using Delavo for about 3 months now and I really like what it does: it really is a platform that centralizes everything. I took advantages of the basic version when it was released for free back in June. I have also bought few plugins which I need in my business and I am testing my site (a tutorials membership site - not Internet Marketing related) which I am planning to launch mid October. Regarding the learning curve: it was too short and the help I received from fellow members at the forum is priceless.

That is my experience with Delavo.

            Hope this helps

As a user for many years I must say this is totally innacurate.
I've never seen John promise to send "freebies",but I have seen him offer free items. There is a difference. When you buy an item or service through John, it doesn't get "delivered" you have to go through the system and actually get it yourself usually. As far as getting ahold of anybody, its funny you say tyhat because he is one of the few people that actually has a phone number on a lot of his sites. Ironically today is the first time I have had problems reaching the helpdesk, and I have been a customer of Johns for many years. ( I am still waiting for a response).
So once again, I must say you really don't know what your talking about here.

It is easy to find out when and what time someone posts. All you need to do is click on that person's user name and then choose to view all of his posts.

I also found that post with the date and time it was posted and also all replies so I also saw that John replied in less than 1 hour. I also saw that maxitman did not reply to John. Now I don't know if he did by PM but there is nothing posted by him in that thread after John replied.

Some people just love to tear down and throw mud just to dirty a product. Unfortunately on a public forum such as this, the mudslingers get attention and are often believed. And that is too bad. It is good to see a newcomer such as Zoeangel taking the time to find the facts before jumping on the "let's bash a product" bandwagon.

So Maxitman, what didn't work? What were you promised that you didn't get? What did you purchase that you didn't get? Did you open any help desk tickets? When? Was your problem resolved? If not, did you personally contact John through the big red button? Did you seek help through any of the help funnels John has setup? Did you EVER contact an online angel, ask for any help in the forums, etc.

If you have not even accessed the help funnels offered, what is your complaint? And why are you throwing mud?

    Rhys,

It seems one person on the thread has tried to "hi-jack" it and take the focus away from your real question... so this is my attempt to bring it back on topic...

I've been using Delavo (and previously Fantasos) for almost 2 years now.

IMO, Delavo is indeed the best, most affordable "centralized" system on the market today. For someone with "limited technical ability"... this is a system that will do wonders for your business.

Is it the easiest system to learn, NO? But it is simple!!! once you put in the time to learn it. It is sort of like seating down to learn anything new. there is a learning curve. But in a couple of days you should feel fairly comfortable with the basics.

As a few have already stated, the support services for Delavo are simply incredible. You can get help at almost every turn...from the user community, the helpdesk, live support, weekly webinars, and many more.

Again, just my 2 cents...but you owe it to yourself to give it a much closer look and make up your own mind.

Yes Donna, I know that. But thats not my point.
John has enough defenders, both you and myself included, that people don't need to make false accounts to defend him, and thats what the Zoeangel account seems to me. I in no way felt that the complainer had any valid complaints, and I also said that too.

JD has been the savior of a lot of IMers over the years. Firstly with JV Manager, then the upgrade and now with Delavo.

I struggled to start with the script not being a "techie" but now with Delavo life is so much easier. You still have to spend time learning all its quirks but without it I would be not be able to run our online businesses.

    Keith,

you can get Delavo through licensed "amabassadors" (I am one)
but only through special events since it is not "sold" but given
as a bonus and sometimes for free. This might seem a little confusing.

Also, the core Delavo script has basic features but the power
lies in the plugins, which are not given away and which, in
most cases, must be purchased from The Internet Company.

In a few cases users of Delavo helped directly finance a
plugin's development for their own use and have the rights
to resell it, but most plugins are only available through
    the Internet Company.

If you want a Delavo with lots of features you have two
options: buy a lot of plugins or subscribe to a hosted
account on a monthly basis. A hosted account can give
you rich features on a month-to-month basis and, depending
on who you get your hosted account from, excellent support
or practically no support at all.

This is just my point-of-view - I'm not a spokesman for the
Internet Company but I do use the script and sell hosted
    accounts.

Regarding hosted accounts, it is ALWAYS better to have your own copy of Delavo. This is because if you decide you no longer wnat to have a hosted version of Delavo, you will lose everything you have set up as nothing can be transferred.

        Hi Donna,

I'm still confuse which one to buy, DELAVO or RAP since both of it has lots of satisfied user.

I've asked Sid whether I can use RAP to do what I want and the answer is not, so I focus my research to delavo right now.

Can I do it with delavo?

What I worry about delavo is it's centralization. I'm affraid if the server crash or down, all my sites will not work properly. SO how to anticipate it? If I have to back up my delavo's installation, is it difficult to do?

If I choose delavo finally, I'm interested to become delavo ambassadors, but I still don't get clear understanding what's the benefit of become ambassadors exactly.

Hope You can give me insight about delavo since I feel you as an experience user of delavo.

          Hi Leesoes

Your JV partners can submit products to you for your approval. I am not sure if that is exactly what you mean but that is the JV Partner plug-in. That is also in the f1.18 plug-in.

Yes you can recruit affiliates and yes you can pay commissions for all three by using the Charity commission feature for the 3rd affiliate.

As far as your server that Delavo is installed on going dwn, there really is no way to anticipate that. But I do suggest installing on a server with close to 100% uptime. My Delavo is installed on Liquid web and I have only gone down couple of times for less than an hour total over the last year or so. 99.9% up time is not good enough. You want a server with 99.99999% uptime. :p

Backing up Delavo is just a database backup which you should be doing routinely anyway.

The advantage of being a Delavo ambassador is that when you give away a Delavo license, YOUR affilaite ID is associated with it. Then, if that person purchases any plug-ins, you get commissions.

If you would like to take a peek inside my Delavo, just PM me and I will set up a time when we can meet.

Hi Donna,

If my installation get errors for any reason after I set up so many site in it, what can I do to protect it? Is it enough by backup my database?

I'm in consideration stage about what to choose, DELAVO or RAP? I need someone who are a heavy user for each script to help me:

            • Show whether the script is the right script for my needs
            • Show it's easy of use (user friendly) - I heard that delavo is more difficult to use than RAP, is it right?
In Your opinion why should I go for delavo rather than RAP?

I'll PM you when I've at least 80% decide to choose delavo. I don't want to make you disappointed if I then buy RAP after you help me.

            Thanks Donna

                Hi Donna,

Thanks for the comparison table and your attention to help me.

I'm so sorry that I already get delavo core version from Brian.

I actually was waiting for your reply of my post because I really interested in delavo. I want to PM you but I can't as I'm a new member of WF and have to wait until I've 50 posts

So now, what can I do so I can give benefit to you?

I have few questions about delavo if you don't mind to answer.

I've a plan using delavo. Here's is the list of what I wanna do using delavo:
                1. I want to make website that someone can sell his product through me (I'm as their JV) and then products owner, website owner, and affiliate get commissions based on percentage I've set before. You said that I can do it using charity commission. What plugin should I use?
                2. I want to make membership-affiliate site that have capability for content dripping, secure download links, login & logout links, have affiliate TOOLS page - Can I use delavo to do this? - what plugin should I use?
                3. Can I set delavo to give my affiliates an 100% INSTANT PAYMENT (like 7$ script & RAP) - (THIS FEATURE IS WHAT I REALLY WANT. RAP has this feature so I ALSO consider to choose RAP. But since I saw delavo will be better for long term, I focus in researching delavo), which mean the money go directly to affiliate's paypal account. I think affiliates like instant payment, especially if they don't know merchant credibility yet. And in my side, I don't have to manage affiliate payment because buyers send their payment directly to my affiliate's paypal account. What plugin should I use to set up 100% instant payment?
                4. In the comparison table from You, I see that delavo core have the capability to send mass email to groups of affiliate, subscriber, paying customer, JV partner, etc. without plugin. So what for is "broadcast news" plugin?
                5. I want to create a free pdf report as my afiliate tools and stick it on my affiliate tools page. The free pdf report automatically embedded with their affiliate ID. It can be done using RAP + rapgoneviral.com. Can I do it using delavo? what plugin do I need? Is BRANDIBLE PDF PLUGIN has the same function with rapgoneviral.com. From video that I've seen, I don't think it's the same function, but I might be wrong since I don't know exactly about that plugin.

                AND THE LAST QUESTION,
                • I saw F1.18 Packages at F1.18 package – 75%. How about other plugins? Can I also get 75% discount for plugins that is not included in that package. ?
                • Can I get 75% discount for plugins that I choose by my self IF I dont buy the package?

                Thanks Donna,

I really appreciate your help. Just can't wait to decide whether use delavo or RAP.

I actually met John Delavera today at a Seminar here in Atlanta, GA and he explained the system to me. I THINK IT IS AMAZING.

Such a great idea that simplifies so many things!

      Hi guys,

As a heavy delavo user for 3 years now I have to say as usual there are both good and bad points to it.

Up until recently I was a raving fan of delavo the product itself is very comprehensive with lots of great features. On the other hand as usual with any large script there are a few bugs here and there and these are the cause of my problem - since the new changes over there and the release of the new version there has been an almost total lack of communication, and I'm now looking for an alternative.

To put you in the picture - I have invested over $6,000 in delavo directly and another $10,000 on my own add ons and scripts that integrate with it, so I'm not saying this lightly.

With the new pricing structure and version 2.0 I'd have to pay around $6,000 dollars per year to get the same product I already own.

The Forums and support are avoiding very simple questions like "Will I still get support on my existing version of delavo now that the new version has been released" with every post not even making it past a moderator and no-one in support answering the question. Not even 3 private messages to John directly got me an answer.

All in all I'd say delavo itself is a great product, but they way it's being handled recently has left me disgusted and disappointed. I'm surprised John would let it slip like this.

If you're thinking of getting into it now, you may want to do some further research first - how much will it really cost you long term? Will you get the sort of support you need?

One thing I always look for in a product is a phone number to call for support - If someone is going to charge me $6,000 for a product I expect to speak to a human when there's and issue to have it fixed. just about every other high price system provides one - Delavo on the other hand is one of the few companies that doesn't provide one - one would have to ask why...

Mark (don't know your last name)

I think there is a confusion here that did not allow you to know about the following:

        - Existing Delavo users get a FREE upgrade to Delavo 2

        - Existing Delavo users get a FREE 12-month SILVER membership too

        - NEW Delavo users get DELAVO for free.

        - NEW Delavo users get the BRONZE level access for free by just referring people.

        - NEW Delavo users with Delavo Core can do MIRACLES with it. Add to it the Plugins they get by the (FREE) Bronze level and you get the idea.

        - Mark Joyner through his Construct Zero company is the only seller of Delavo today.

        - Help and Support is offered through the helpdesk (link is at delavo.com)

        - As an existing Delavo customer you can email transition AT delavo.com and you can arrange a phone session (if helpdesk is not enough)

Lastly, in regard to the new subscription Levels Silver and Gold those are for NEW customers only and THERE IS NO OBLIGATION at all to upgrade. As you already know Delavo is huge: NOT ALL people need a "space craft." The majority can do well with a "Porsche." You know that already.

        Sorry for the missing episodes.

It's good to ask questions before assuming things as absolute answers.

        John
