Hardest Part of being a full time webdesigner

Hello all! I was looking for a little guidance.

I'm working my way towards doing webdesign as a full time business.

After doing it for many years with another company I think its time to start my own and really just take things to the next level.

I was wondering if anyone had insight on what the biggest hurdles for you as a full time designer were or things to watch out for.

Any info would be really helpful!

    Sales. I've been relatively lucky (worked hard at it, and was reasonably decent). It's easy to find someone to pick up your design overflow. They're a dime a dozen. Bringing in new work has to be your baby.

    The hardest this is to find new clients. But if you promote your services you will get a nice income.

    Clients are crazy, they all want you to make everything for $2 and super fast with 1.000 changes.

    Make sure to talk everything before accepting a job because it will be a pain in the ass otherwise.

    If you go to any freelance site, prepare yourself to work for free or almost nothing, to start with you need to do it that way, too much competition.

    If you are going to make your own service not using any freelance site, be awesome and showcase your best works and charge what you feel is good for your time.
