Hello friends. First of all, my name is Atila and I come from Serbia.
I have this strange habit of starting a website and quitting after a month or two. This time, I have decided that I will go all in. So, I have been thinking about what kind of website should I create. In the end, giveaway website popped into my head. I love helping people, plus I could potentionaly get few bucks from adsense or similar platforms. I really want this project to work and I want to create a community. Now, here are some things i would like to know.

1. When you enter my website, can you see clearly that it is a website about giveaways?
2. Is the design proper? I like it but on the other hand I wan't people to like it because it's all about them.
3. Please write anything that you may notice or any idea for changes.

Thank you to those who took their time to read my post and respond honestly.
The website is bestgiveaways.online

First things first, why do you keep starting and stopping? Because you're not seeing results? If so, do you really think making a "few bucks" from Adsense will keep you motivated to not quit on this site? Assuming that you want to make money and not just have a hobby on the side, I personally would set my site a little higher than a "potentially getting a few bucks" if I was going "all in".

I looked at the site on mobile and here are my thoughts.

Personally, I would have immediately left the page had I landed on it. The first thing you see is a generic text logo (no branding, nothing to make me think it's valuable). This makes me think it's one of those garbage, annoying "viral sites" that are popular on Facebook that make you click thru a few pages then shove an ad in your face.

Right below the generic text logo is an ad. (DISCLAIMER: I don't use Adsense) Thus is probably a good spot for it if you have high quality content that people will want to read. However, I would guess that this isn't a great idea for the focal point of your homepage because it screams spam.

I didn't read or look at any of the actual posts, but I noticed several grammatical errors on the homepage along; which again makes me think "spam/crap".

Errr yeah you got me... I am hoping it will get decent amount of traffic some day but I'm not really counting on it. It's probably the reason I just quit every time (guess I should make a plan?).. I have logo ready on my hard drive but when I saw the generic text it looked kind of nice and fitting with the rest of the design. Maybe I was wrong. And about adsense on the front page, I agree with you 100%, now that I look at it. It really screams "spam". And my sidebar is just filled with ads too. As for the grammatical errors, I will need to find a way to get it right. I may have screwed up somewhere because English is not my 1st language. Thanks for the feedback man, I really appreciate it! Good points.

I took a look at your site on my laptop. Simple, plain design which loaded very quickly.

    That's a good start.

Unfortunately, it goes downhill from there.

The giveaways aren't obvious. Your headline is a boring name of the item. The description reads like the last page of an owner's manual, who is doing the giveaway isn't always obvious. These are bad enough, but it isn't obvious how to get the item.

"Join the Giveaway" doesn't mean anything. If I join, do I get the item? Or do I have to fill out a form for a chance to get the item and get spammed until the end of days? I know which I would suspect.

    Your forum is empty.

Your about page is uninspiring - do some research into what a proper about page should have.

I think you might be missing a bet here. Adsense pays pennies on the content network. On the other hand, if you build the site (with skull sweat and elbow grease, as opposed to a prayer at the SEO temple), you could charge a few bucks for a listing, which you would then promote. Posting to social media and an old fashioned email newsletter would work well, I believe.

If you really want to build a community around giveaways, study sites like Coupon Mom to see how they do it.

People aren't running giveaways just to hand out free stuff. They want something in return. Help them get it, and you'll get paid.

The good news is that none of what I said above is either permanent or fatal. You can fix it. Good luck to you.

I have just opened a forum, so that's the reason it's empty. You are right both about item description and about "About" page. The website should he looking "happy" because people come here with hope of winning the item they saw on Facebook or w/e and they are in a happy mood. I know my design sucks. It's a Genesis child theme that I have to design from ground up and my job is not letting me do that too much. But I will be working at it. Thank you so much John for these helpful insights! God bless!

I run a"FREE Site" for over 8 years now. It mostly does real well with CPA Offers and Websites.
Not easy to Monetize by a conventional Internet Marketer's standard... i.e Email Marketing in many cases. like mine, you will make less

    But it can be done

The Site needs to be more narrowed down at least with the Domain Name. You need to do this so people in SEs will better know what to expect and click on your Site in SEs

Your site looks nice and clean but you should definitely work on the logo. Its very basic and not professional.

To me, it's better to explain something about your website at the homepage

Thank you all! I have taken your advice's and made changes to my website. It is now clear what the purpose of the website is, About page is updated and I have changed the design of the website. I love it and it looks darn awesome on cellphone too. Going to work on forum next, and couple of few things. Thank you all! I would like to hear your comments now after I did changes.

You're on the right track. Keep working at it.

    A couple of notes...

    > The "Join the Giveaway" still isn't real clear. I know the Ajax tab thing might look cool, but the more times you make someone click, especially if it isn't clear what they're clicking, the more times people won't bother and just leave. You might want to try putting all the info on one page, including the button.

    > Speaking of the button, in the interest of trust building, you may want to disclose that clicking to join the giveaway will take people off of your site. You may also want to make sure there is language in your TOS/Privacy page saying that when links take visitors offsite you are not responsible for the content of the destination site.

    > You may also want to try a quick, anonymous popup survey asking what type of giveaways people like best, then look for similar giveaways to test the answers.

I have some things to talk to you but first I am going to answer your questions.

    1. At least for the name, I can make me that idea but the site doesn't look like that. A blog was the first thing that came out to my head, you could add some icons or better images with more visual content to show us what is your site all about. Two of the actual pictures doesn't say anything and I need to read the title to know it's a giveaway.

    2. I like the design and most of the stuff there, the only thing I don't like too much is the right bar with the login.

    3. Only what I said before, adding images with a more visual description about giveaways.

I know why you have that habit. I almost bet that you said the all in thing before as well!

You're trying to create something that makes money fast and that's exactly why it doesn't work, besides you need to be pretty lucky to make good money in just a short time, you need to invest a lot of valuable time before seeing anything in return.

Project after project, the better for you would be doing a single thing and keep doing it without quitting. More easy saying that doing it, right? The key is to build a business around something you are passion about, like or want to learn.

You can start a blog, Youtube channel or anything, build your list to offer quality content for free and also make some sales with some of your own products, affiliate or anything.

Having as a goal making money with Adsense isn't a good idea, at least from my point of view. I don't see a long-term business there but with what I said I see it. Having sponsored posts or videos, private advertising (not just random ads), etc.

I really want you to succeed, so my advice is to start something about anything you love or are passion about. You will create content and work for it because you like it and you enjoy it, a better way to engage with other people with a similar passion.

When I say "about anything" it truly is anything, affiliate products are massive and no matter the niche you always have something to do, don't worry thinking "ooh maybe this niche isn't really good at all but I really like this" GO FOR IT! It will work.

One last thing to say is to never give up, you only fail the moment you give up.
