How to create a landing page ?

My website is ran with Wordpress. How can I create a landing page seperate from my theme?
Basically I want for when someone shows up to my site to initially be offered a free ebook by simply entering their email . If they don't want to opt in they can simply X out and be directed to my blog or they can opt in and then receive my ebook .

But how do I make a sales funnel sort of landing page seperate from my theme ?

    Hi, you can do this using lead pages. There are a lot of tutorials on youtube that tells how you can keep your wordpress theme and integrate A lead pages landing page in it.

    You can use Instabuilder 2.0 and it comes with a built in pop up.     or just use a pop up squeeze page plugin, , there are many to choose from,

    So the easy way, just use a pop up, many free plugins or paid to choose from.
