Wordpress Themes & Plug Ins

I am feeling a bit overwhelmed and confused with all the plugin and theme options, and would like a few opinions, please.

I am still learning a lot about wordpress and only recently started doing child themes. I have however had an upswing in request (more money for me). And I was looking at ways to design quality sites but a bit faster. I know CSS and WP file layout structure.

I found Divi from the guys at Elegant Themes and also WPMU Dev. What are the pros and cons of using "frameworks" like these? I know that both have an extra cost but it also look as though I will be able to develop faster.
TIA

Elegant Themes are professional and we have wide variety of options in themes like Blog, business, eCommerce, Magazine, Personal, Portfolio and it's add-on plugin. So my suggestion to purchase the membership, it is worth for you if you have variety of clients.

Personally I recommend frameworks vs stand alone theme. The main reason is once you are used to a framework like Elegant Themes then you will be familiar with all their themes.

I feel your pain though. Just about every theme designer has it's own framework, builder and plugins.
