Is there a photo gallery for wordpress that can do this?

I am looking for a photo gallery for my wordpress side in plugin or widget form that can do this.

I have tried countless plugins and widgets and I haven't found one suitable for my needs yet. NextGen Gallery was the closest thing however the thumbnails were static in place and did not have any sort of scrolling navigation. This means that I would be limited to how many photos I could put in the gallery as I cannot have 10-20+ thumbnails clogging up my entire sidebar.

Is there a photo gallery that can achieve this or something very similar? I want to be able to display a gallery of 20-100 photos with a scrolling navigation to limit the space it takes up. When you click on the main photo it should open above the same page in a lightbox.

If this is not available how much roughly would I be looking at to have someone develop or tweak a previous plug in for me?

The Lazyest Gallery looks as if it comes pretty close. No slider, but it does give you control over the size and content of the thumbnail area, and it apparently creates Next and Previous links for scrolling the thumbnails.

If that's not close enough, I found a couple of jQuery galleries that, if combined would give you all you're looking for.

It shouldn't be too huge of a job to combine them and convert to a WP plugin. Not trivial, but not enormous. PM me if you want an estimate on doing that.

yep that gallery looks exactly what I would want it to look like. The only functions missing are a slider and also clicking on the image to open a larger lightbox of the picture on the same page.

I need the lightbox feature as i plan for the photo gallery to be in a sidebar at the size 300,250 which isn't ideal for viewing nice photos.

oh just noticed that it does have a slider!! sorry it's 4am and i'm a little off my game at this hour.

So that means I would just need to have a lightbox implemented and the gallery resized to 300px W, 250px H.
