Photoshop to Dreamweaver site design

New toys - so I purchased a photoshop website template from our developers forum, sliced template with photoshop into slices and exported into Deamweaver as images and index.

Next step?

If some of the experts could lead me to a good tutorial series. I'm stuck trying to figure out how to get the images into table form or should I use css? I'd have to learn both.

Any help appreciated.

it depends on what the website is about. but in 99% of all cases i could go with pure css/dhtml compliant standards design. Dreamweaver is an excellent tool for this. To get an idea of css and what you can do with it simpley create a new page based on one of Dreamaweavers built in ones and look at the stylesheet and html/dhtml code.

I agree with VisualWebEffects 100%. CSS is the way to go and you don't want to use tables for layout work...

Tables are for tabular data, not for layout.... In the past we had to use them as a work around because HTML was very limited on positioning...

Now with CSS, that is no longer an issue so if you want to do it and want to do it right, use CSS.

If you're goin to learn either of them it would be best if you'd learned CSS because most of websites use it and they look great.

Aside from that learning tables won't take long at all if you decide to do so.
