little help from fellow warriors

Question; see the little bar in between word1 and word2,
in the example {word1 | word2}

I've been knocking my brains out
trying to figure out how to actually make them.

so .... How does one actually make 'em?
are they keystroke combo's?

On your keyboard, look just above the enter key. You'll see a key that has
\ as the lower case and | as the upper case.

I never would of found or even thought of that!

on the key the line is broken, I was doing all sorts
of weird key combos trying to guess this one.
