Hi - we're working on something that looks kind of like Gmail to handle SMS messaging and to 'spice it up' we'd like to add some cool UI designs to it.

Essentially the output now goes into HTML and we need it to go into a container that a user and click, hover and open up.

We have a graphic designer right now who is working on the look, but he doesn't know how to make things 'look good' in javascript, and neither do I.

What we'd like to do is unclutter it so that the message length can be controlled so it doesnt spread out all over the page. Perhaps using some of the 'appear' effects in scriptaculous to hide some of the writing until you hover over it is kind of what I had in mind. Also a way to limit how much is being shown on screen.

As I see it our database output could be written into a javascript 'container' before beind displayed on the screen and then we can use the document display commands to show it to the user in pieces, rather than how it is right now with everything IN-LINE.

When you look at facebook, twitter or any of the social networks, they all use javascript to handle their UI. Unfortunately we're all programmers and designers but not layout UI guys.

Qualifications: must know or write UI in prototype or script.aculo.us or something even better.

If interested, Please contact us directly at our website (earthgrid.com) on the contact us button with samples of your work and rates and someone will get back to you.

P.s. I'm new to the warrior forum and am a php and flash/actionscript programmer, but UI is my weakness. If you're the right person for our team, I'd love to connect with you. I'm also not sure how you handle responses whether its a reply to forum post or now notifications work. So the best way as i said above is to visit our site in the Subject put in 'UI Expert' so it gets to the right department.

We're right now in the middle of a project that needs this expertise.

To the admin: if I posted this in the incorrect area, please move it to the appropriate 'Help Wanted' section. I love the warrior forum and have already met some great people here.
