Hi, I have had my first sales pitch with a customer. He gave me some information on how he would like to have his website. Now before I start to make my his website, I'd like to give him a preview or a sketch of his website, so that he has an idea how the page will look. How can i make that? Tools? Or anything else?

You could either provide your client a mockup of the design, created using Photoshop or may be just a wireframe. For wireframes, there are quite a few tools like mockflow.com and balsamiq.com

Well that is a hard one, its not hard to make a website so i would say make it on a laptop using xampp then can show them a local copy or if you own your own website make it in a sub folder like example.com/design/

least this way they can say for example "move this.. change this ect.."

It's a really good idea to start off with wireframes first or a basic mockup of the website without having to delve into any code. I traditionally just go for wireframes made in Photoshop, but you can use other programs such as Sketch or Adobe XD to do your wireframes since your client may change things around when he sees the wireframes

Depending on how deep you want to go into the design with your client, even a hand sketched wireframe is good enough (if your client has solid imagination skills).

If not, our team uses Sketch and Photoshop to draw up some mockups of designs. Another great tool would be Balsamiq which is great for wireframe creation and minimal design effort.

Less is more until the design is finalised I've found with new clients.
