When a first-time visitor lands on a website that has a squeeze page for opt-in's, that same visitor returning to the site (after already opting in previously) would want to go to the "inside" pages, not the same opt-in main page. Apparently there are cookies you can programme to recognise if a visitor is new or returning, and it goes to the appropriate page. Does anyone know what the code is and how to programme this?

In order for this to happen a visitor that has allready subscribed to your list would have to acces the internet from the same computer from were he opted in.
If he comes to your site from another computer, because of the different IP address, the cookie wont work. So the best thing is to sent daily broadcasts to your list. This way the people that have allready subscribed will have acces to whatever page you want them to see. |
